Materials First
BerkeleyW1 is committed to sourcing to the highest quality with a focus on natural fibres and avoiding synthetic materials.

Made in Australia
Berkeley W1 remains committed to local craftsmanship, producing in limited quantities to support skilled artisans and allow for precision, oversight and quality. Our garments are made in Australia with proximity to premium materials in the Pacific region. It is through this considered process that we honour both the artisans who create our garments and the landscapes that inspire them.

From the Tannery
Berkeley W1 sources leather from tanneries across Australia, Japan, and Italy. All leather garments are handcrafted in Australia by an esteemed leather artisan and lined with pure Japanese silk. It is through leather that Berkeley W1 explores excellence and craftsmanship.

Sourcing Silk
Berkeley works with a family-owned silk specialist, with longstanding relationships to silk mills internationally.

Hardware and Haberdashery
Trims and accessories are held to the same standards as the textiles to which they are attached, sourced from a local, family-owned supplier. Our supplier is plastic-free and passionate about sustainable innovation.

Finishing and Finishes
Berkeley W1 uses damask labels woven in the United Kingdom. Packaging is plastic free and designed to protect your garment whilst in transit.
